The California Policy Lab (CPL) partners with state and local government to generate evidence that helps solve the state’s most urgent problems, including homelessness, poverty, crime, education inequality, and the future of work.  The CA Policy Lab matches government partners with researchers from UCLA, UC Berkeley, and other UC campuses to collaborate on research projects to assess the impact of California programs and policies and how they can be improved.  A large administrative data hub supports research on a range of data science related research projects.
